Eurosport channel

I wish that Eurosport will be available here in NA, I think that it will be imposible to have it here because of conflict of interest even that ESPN is the owner of Eurosport, I miss ski jumps that are unavailable here , none channels retransmits them, I wait until Pal version of Slingbox will be released , it seems only way to watch E. in USA

EuroSport has owned "Screensports" (ger: "Sportkanal") in 1992 and on that transponder was started the german "RTL 2" only one day later

EuroSports are available in North America in 2 ways:

1) the soccer games on Eurosports are sold to PPV providers in Canada, mainly for close-circuit (pubs) telecast. I just found out about this a couple weeks ago. Of course, it's not like you have a 24/7 Eurosports channel at home...

2) A French Eurosport can be accessible in the U.S., but only in Florida. If you have a gray market CanalSat Caraibes service, which covers Guadeloupe and Martinque, you have access to a whole bunch of French channels, including EuroSport France, EuroSport 2, TF1, Canal+, Sport+, etc. Basically all the French soccer games are available. Of course, CanalSat Caraibes is on Intelsat 801 (31W), and its small footprint makes it accessible only in Florida, with a pretty big dish (4M+).

It's possible to get this service in the Florida. I have seen people talked about it in other boards, but I haven't seen any person actually having this system.

Eurosport FTA ............. in Australia and Asia

Aussies are lucky with Eurosport, maybe soon in USA we will have it FTA :devil:
