Hello everyone.

I'm pretty new here so be gentle if I mess something up.

Anyways, I just received my Explorer 8300HD cable box from my Time Warner Cable store in Rochester, NY. Noticing that it had an HDMI port I bought a HDMI to DVI cable so I could hook it up to my Sceptre LCD monitor. I hooked up both ends and tried to get a signal on the monitor with no avail. I tried changing the "video source" which goes to auxiliary which did nothing. I then tried removing the component cables so just the HDMI port was plugged in and nothing still.

Can anyone help me get some HD tv on my monitor.

Some things you guys may need.
Monitor: Sceptre X20 NagaII
Cable Box: Explorer 8300HD
Cable: Samsung HDMI to DVI

Let me know if you guys need anything else. Thanks in advance.
