I am installing a new satellite dish in a slightly different location. I was not wise enough with the original install to leave any slack in the coax. I don't want to run new cable. Does extending a coax line with a three foot additional coax result in much signal loss?

There'd better not be any splitters in the line, or you'll get searhcing for satellite signal!

Thanks for the info

I have barrel connectors and do not use splitters, so guess I am OK.

Unfortunately when they built my house they did not leave enough cable on the outside to run to the dish so I have barrel connectors in all my lines and I have not had any problems.

2 things.
1 I suggest you weatherproof the connection points.
2 it doesn't sound like your system is grounded.

Goodbye DirecTV (at least for now)

Which is best? H-10 or DTC210
