External HD for 622

I had a few Staples rewards to use up and purchased a WD Mybook 2TB hard drive to hook up to my 622. So can you only tranfer recordings to the EHD? If so its a shame that you could not choose the option where to record too.

I really hope i missed something during setup but disappointed if I have have to transfer all my recording to watch later.

No direct record to, but you can transfer to AND FROM and move the EHD to Other receivers.

You can also play back directly from the EHD.

Yes I notice that. It will be helpful to keep me from deleting shows i have not watched but would be nice to be able to choose which one to be primary HD. Tranfered several shows (8 hours worth) and it took 3.5 hours to transfer and it does not show hours it in mb.

Might be a better setup on a 211. Does Dish still charge the $40 to make that possible?
