External HDD with multiple receivers

Currently, I have a VIP 622 and a DVR 625. I am about to buy an additional tv and am going to switch out my 625 for another VIP 622. I was thinking of getting an external HDD and I was wondering if I would be able to use it with both of my 622 boxes?

yes, the external drive can be moved between ViP DVRs on the same account.
