Retention agent with the direct line to the back end and God powers was able to get it done. They removed one H3, added J4, added H3 back in. Two H3s on an account wrecks the ability to add more receivers. Crazy

Two H3s and a Joey 4 are now online and working as expected, except for the insufficient d/l speed error.

AS for the HDR flag, at least on my pre-HDR Samsung UN65JU6400 4K TV, it plays all 4K content from the 540 Dish channels with no problem.

On my H3 I often had to record a 4K channel and watch as it was played back at the same time, so the output from the Joey 4 appears to be less restrictive than the H3, in what manner I do not know.

The H3 has no problem playing 4K content to my new Samsung UN50U7900.

I've only gone to retention twice in my 28 years with Dish, both in the past ~month.

If the normal CSR can't make it happen for you, just ask to be transferred to retention/cancellations.

The Joey 4 does everything mentioned here; 4k 540 channels, YouTube streams at 4k at >300Mbps, PiP (though not Multiview).

To address the 4k Joey: To sum it up, the 4k Joey is pointless. The only thing it does is upconvert HD and lesser resolutions to a 4k output. Any 4k TV can already do that.

What it doesn't do is display any 4k programming.

So again, what's the point?
