Finally picked a 55'' 3d set.

Ordered a Toshiba 55''Led(backlite) 3d set. Bundle came with two 3d glasses.

Bought from Amazon. Because Im a prime member no shipping charge.
That was nice. Opened up an Amazon card a received 24 months interest free.
I probably will pay all off in one shot though. I hate having a charge hanging over my head.

So, whole package ran me 1700. All new stuff. I could have saved more by
getting
opened box or used through Amazon Whare house deals. Kind of leery about that though.

Just before I bought this set, I almost pulled the trigger on a 60 3d sony.
Even though Im anti Sony at the moment.
It turned out to be a scam. A scam on Amazon?? Kind of shocking to see these pirates on Amazon.

Deal was too good to be true.
The minute the guy said wire the money..Ding, ding, ding...
Scam all the way. The dude was in Italy selling a set in Chicago. lol
Glad im not gullible enough to fall for that trick! Id be out 1700 bucks!

Glad you werent scammed. I had a 2009 Regza LED, and it was a pretty nice set. Good PQ, just found LCD was not my thing.

I have both dish and Direc. Looks like
direc is ahead of the game with the 3d channels.
How are they so far?

I do need to pick up some good 3d blu rays.

I would love to have Avatar but paying over 100 bucks
is a tad high for one disc.

I guess you have to buy Panasonic. I would have but the price was a little
to high for a 58''.

Going in I was skeptical of 3D, but after watching RE Afterlife (shot with Camerons Fusion Camera) I was impressed at where we are going. I think as far as the cartoons, they all look good. The shower fight in RE is just friggin awesome. I bought a new BDT110 player since I wanted one with 2D-3D, so hopefully Ill get avatar. Tron Legacy I think will impress next month, and there are many more coming. Pirates 4 and Bayformers 3 are being shot in 3D, so it should be fun!

I agree with Elway, RE rocks, I caught Shrek4 a few weeks ago from Directv PPV and it rocked also, Directv has some good 3D. I haven't watched Basketball in ages and have been watching (when they have it on).

I read a good article yesterday (speaking of the shower fight) where they stated that shooting people sitting in a car during the rain, one in 2D and one in 3D, offered different results. The 2D camera did not allow you to see the people in the car, while the 3D camera allowed you to see the rain and the folks in the car clearly. That shower scene was very cool

Yeah I paid about that for a Panasonic BDT100 but get Avatar (had to jump thru some hoops)... rebate.

I agree. Get a Panasonic 110. Love it. Avatar rebate coupon is in the box. Takes about 4-6 weeks to get it.

Lossless audio is DTS Master and Dolby TrueHD. Better dynamics, range, and separation.

I upgraded my BT system a couple of months ago, was amazed what just a receiver with lossless capability's sounded like with the same speakers.
