It used to be that when I would bookmark a page in FF, I would be given the list of my bookmark folders. I could then pick which one I wanted the bookmark to be stored in.

Now, for the past few months, when I bookmark a page it goes to the bottom of the list. I then have to move it to the correct folder/subfolder. I've fiddled with the destination but can't get the one step bookmarking like I used to.

May be connected to when I started anew and imported saved bookmarks in.

Anyone understand what is happening or how to fix it?

is it still doing it? maybe save your favs and then uninstall & reinstall FF

Its been this way for months. I'm dreading doing the uninstall & reinstall, time wise. I might do this, and go w/4 beta. Exporting and saving the bookmarks seem to behave differently- I'll have to look into this.

maybe you had an add on called Xmarks and forgot to put it back in? It gives me all the options your talking about.

I used to have Xmarks. They've discontinued it, I believe.

navy- I have the same thing here. Been that way for so long I forgot about the options. I just bookmark and then slide them into the right location.
