I received the following from E* this a.m. I had sent an e-mail to the station about 8-9 months ago and they must have forwarded it to E*. It sounds like from the e-mail that Dish and the station may be in talks for the upcoming lauch of HD in Flint. Just thought others might want the info.

Dear Mr. Cummings,

We are writing to you in regards to continuous lip sync issues you were (are?) experiencing with WEYI-NBC via DISH Network's ViP 622 and ViP 211 model receivers. Are you still experiencing this problem via these 2 receiver models, or any other DISH model receiver(s)? If so, would you be so kind to provide us with some additional information? We are hoping your feedback will help shed some light in our discussions with WEYI.

  • Please tell us the model, software version, and hardware ID of your DISH receiver(s). You can find this information via your remote control(s) by simply pressing the Menu button two times.
  • Do you see the problem on the SD feed, DISH channel 7532, the station's SD feed OTA, or just the HD OTA feed?
  • Are you experiencing this problem on live or recorded programming? Or both?
  • Does this happen on all programming from this station?
  • Do you see it on SD-upconverted programming as well as HD programming?
  • Does the programming remain consistently out of sync or progressively become further out of sync as you continue watching?
  • Do you see this only on commercials, or on programming as well?
  • How frequently does the problem occur?
  • If you press and hold the front panel button to reset the unit, does this temporarily correct the issue?
  • Does channeling up/down temporarily correct the issue?
  • What type audio connections are you using from the receiver to the TV/Stereo system?

Thank you in advance for your time and assistance.
