Found 2 DVR 721 receivers in my closet..what to do ?

I've done some research that DISH doesn't even activate these receivers anymore.... I don't see any listing on Ebay either.

One of them is still brand new sealed.

I suppose I can take the hard drive out and use them on my computer?
