Before long they will start showing the commercials on a split screen during the program while they are singing. Or better yet the contestants will sing the commercial songs while they show the commercial on the split screen at the same time. "Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is !!"
That might not be a bad idea so it is a win win for Dish and the prime time providers. Get the law suit over and then install Autohop on all channels. What do you think?
In the 50s the commercials were part of the show with the actors fully participating in the commercial itself. Product placement was a regular part of most sitcoms and shows back then. Meaning you couldn't really get up and leave the room because they would sneak a 30 second to 60 second commercial in the dialogue of the show itself. Something I've noticed lately was during Being Human on Syfy, they will use the outside set of the house where the characters live at. Then the commercial characters will also be werewolves and or vampires and the commercial looks and sounds like it is part of the show . H-50 does a commercial where they play up the Chevy Camero in Hawaii and talk about how the shows characters ride in a Chevy Camero etc. The hopper doesn't even skip this commercial and it happens every week the show plays.
