Free iPad For Referrals?

I knew you would get 5$ a month off your bill for a period of time if someone you referred signed up.

I didn’t know that if three of them got the Hopper you would get a free iPad 2, until I picked it up from Fedex today.

Apparently not, I don't have a hopper & never have. I did have a upgrade order for a hopper & canceled it when the new hopper prices were announced, back in May?

Looks like I'm not eligible, but how the hell did you get one?

I have one referral so far...if I get to 3, I want to know if I will be getting an Ipad so I can change my service address.

That's a good question. When it arrived it was completely unexpected with no prior communication giving me a heads up. Initially thought I accidentally ordered it from amazon until I seen the receipt in the box from dish. Even then it didn't give any details other than it was from dish.

Nope, just checked. Looked a few other places as well including "my offers", nothing.

This is just speculation but perhaps for those of us without hoppers it takes more referrals to get the ipad. I've not had mine a full month yet & at the time the ipad shipped I had 7 referrals on my account. Granted not all were hopper referrals but most were. It would be nice to know something official.

I received an email two days before I got it saying it had shipped.
