well better late than never its the Friday FTA Fun Poll

another simple one....I really have to come up with a harder ones

As we all know channels pop up and leave at an instant. Heck thats the fun of the game. But sometimes folks get real happy when something pops up for a while and some get real bummed when it leaves

so here is this weeks question. What do you do more?
-I get excited when a new channel pops up for a while
-I get bummed when a channel leaves FTA
-I do both

I use to do both but now I get more excited when channels pop up for a while. I know they'll probably disappear soon so I can't worry about that. I just enjoy what we have now

I do both. I agree that I'm more excited when something new shows up, but when I lose a channel, I wonder if there's something wrong with my "stuff" , so I end up cross checking on a number of different boxes.

both, but i got bummed when FNC left AMC4. worked out well for a friend of mine, though. he cannot get any OTA signals on his ranch, but does have power there. since paying a sub was out of the questions, I gave him my second 36" geosatpro and visionsat for g18. better than nothing, and now he cannot tell me no when i want to go hunting or fishing out there, lol!

The channel that I was really disapionted that disapeared was The Military Channel, but that was way back in about 2000 when it was FTA on cband analog. At that time I had a sub to most analog channels and most ExpresVU channels but the channel I watched the most was TMC.

As brentb says, I get just as excited when I lose something, because my first thoughts are to check my equipment, as I do when I find something New...

I voted "both" -I always like finding new channels, but I still miss Retro-Jams

I wish they would turn off all the (conditional access) encryption on the Dc2 and PowerVu feeds forever. That would be the bomb! Of course I've been wishing that since the VC2 days and it never happened.

Yep, both It never usually ruins (or makes) my day either way, though. I did get a bit out of sorts when certain premium freebies disappeared from a certain Western bird earlier in the year...

I feel the same way when we get a long run of something I like that they won't let us subscribe to (you know the things I'm talking about) Then they encrypt or remove the channels. I was pretty attached to a certain number of channels that were ITC in DC2 on G9 that they finally pulled the plug on earlier this year. That hurt when they left.

I always get jazzed when something I like first goes ITC, then Im like , how long will it last?

I do not blind sc an often enough to find new ones, so I just marked getting uypset when some thing I do watch leaves. ALTHOUGH, both MOM and I were very glad to see Cornerstone come onto G25!
