I prefer using orbital location so I voted "both...I hate change".

I'm with TRG... The names do not mean much to me. Give me an address and I'll drive right to it! That's why I want you to say 87 degrees AMC3 or whatever the name is. G10R , G17 or G18; well that one doesn't have a satellite name -- that's RTN!

Nothing easy about this pole, for there is no perfect/absolute remedy.....?
You just have to accept it.....

I hate to be a "me too" guy, but I HATE CHANGE ! I tend to use orbital locations, and then my mind processes what the name probably is .

orbit this !

I'm too stupid to manage another unnecessary layer of obfuscation. -
You know, I think it's all the fault of those 4DTVers... -

But, the orbital locations do not change from year to year, . . . nor decade to decade. - :D

G-10R to G-18...

I usually refer to satellites by orbital position, but for some reason, G-10R was an exception... So that change is messing with me now ;)

I'm one of those 4DTVers  that keeps thinking in terms of the names like W5 instead of AMC18. Which is just a carry over from the analog days. So that gives me 3 things to remember about each satellite and then they change it.
