well this gets the "D'OH" of the day

been trying to pick up the vertical side of a C-Band satellite for off and on a couple weeks now with the Fortec Classic...nothing

H comes in fine
V...nothing

I tried blind scan, manually scan...nothing...Hook up Pansat and works fine..nice 60 quality

Check menus and they're all right

LO of 5150
frequency matches
LNB power to 18........ "D'OH"

changed to 13/18 and all is well

heck yeah I'm human. I've had a few "D'OH" moments now and then

like setting up a dish at the lake (this is when ExpressVu radio was in the clear) and wondered why I got no signal...I hooked the cable to the antenna in instead of the satellite in....

Sounds familiar, two weeks ago when I repointed my dish to G11, I was playing with the skew and suddenly my signal dropped to 30% and my quality was gone. I played with the dish for another minute or so with no luck when I finally realized that the coax had fallen out of the F-connector and was lying on the ground
