can my 4dtv be installed after my openbox s9 FTA hooking from the lnb out of the s9 into the c-band input on my 4dtv receiver without voltage problems? I can't find anywhere in the 4dtv menus to shut off power to lnb's. I want my FTA first in line and 4dtv second as it's my dish mover. Thanks.

Insert a DC block (Channel Master 7264 or equiv.) in the Loop out line to the 4dtv. A lot easier than disabling the 18v by any other means. Your FTA box will run the polarity.

Worked for me, I hooked up my 920 like that.
Got mine connected like that also and it works fine. I can get the DC lock on X4 with channel 216 along with the audio in the upper channel range too. Just have to make sure that your FTA receiver is set on the correct polarity for the 4DTV to get those channels.
Some Moto 4Dtv recivers have a coax cable plugin to use the 4Dtv as a positioner mover and still be able to move the dish with the 4dtv and the fta reciver.
