how do you set f/d ratio on these dmx741u's?

I have a Orbitron SST-10 satellite dish with a f/d of (.36). I've always had chaparral corotor's and have always set the .36 on the feedhorn to the top lip of the scalar ring and have had great results. Now I have this dmx741u and have no idea where to set this to get me (.36). Can I measure from the end of the corotor to the top of the scaler ring with it a (.36) and transfer this measurement from the bottom of the dmx feedhorn to the top of the scaler ring? I'm stumped!

Measuring the length of throat that extends past the scalar(towards the dish), and setting the 741 the same, I think that would get you very close, if not dead on.

FYI the 6 on the side of that 741 is actually .36. I think you'll find out when you're done that you'll be somewhere near that 6 line. Tweaking that 741 in is the same as with any others, ie, in and out, left and right for best quality.

Another FYI for ya is that if you file those numbers flat on one side of that 741 opposite the set screw it will fit inside that Corotor scaler ring just fine. ;-) I've done two like that and they work great.
