I was wondering what is the furthest east that anyone from the West Coast has been able to pick up? (I used to get 61.5 with E* from a previous house.) Do the sats' east of 61.5 have footprints that even hit North America?

From Sacramento area, can be reached to 58.0W (PAS 9) is what Brian (SatelliteAV) told me personally. I haven't tried reach to 89.0W or lower cuz is where my apartment blocks it..

It looks like PAS 8 is the only ku bird to the west at 166 degrees east that reaches the West Coast. Most of the satellites west of IA 7 are Cband only. I'm in San Jose, CA and my Cband dish limit is AMC 8. Any further and the dish would fall over. My ku dish will reach Echostar 1/2 at 148 degrees west, but anything further west is blocked by trees. Panamsat has huge dishes in Napa, CA that transmit and receive from PAS 2 and PAS 8.

I am able to reach 61.0 W from Santa Clara,CA. I still have some more room to play, but I do not have a list of active Ku transponder to check out. I cant lock on to 58.0 W as I do not have universal LNB. My coolsat maxes out on Amazonas1.

I haven't really tried, as of yet. I get AMC6 @ 72 with no problem. It appears I have more room to go before hitting the trees. I guess I'll try for PAS9 next. That seems to be the next Ku bird after E* @ 61.5, unless I'm reading the chart wrong.
(Actually, I just noticed EDS1 @ 63. But, that seems beemed to Brasil.)

EDS1 beams to Brazil and we do not get anything from that bird . Nothing in between 72° W and 61° W .I am able to get 61° W. In the same position I get lot of scrambled channels from E* (with Satndard LNBF ).
Could some one list out the active transponders on 74° W (SBS 6), 72° W (AMC-6) and 71.8° W (Nahuel 1). I am locked on to 72° W or 74° W- I am not sure

I'm not quite as far West as you and I have to 1.2 over to Pas 9.
With my polar mount I was able to get down to 45W but that was c-band.

How about the other way around? I am in Virginia (far east coast). What is farthest west satellite anyone's been able to get a strong signal from. I am having a problem getting higher than 30% for G10R.

I too would like to know how far west anyone has been on KU. Here in Ohio, I am able to hit Hispasat 1c/1d at 30W. That is using usals. I havn't tried going lower with 1.2.
From Missouri, I can reach Amazonas, but am not getting any TPS on any birds further East than that. To the west I can reach 148. I've tried to go further either direction but no go... I think the stuff further west could maybe be seen, but can't be because of where I have the dish - there's an up slope to that part of the roof and a tall tree a couple houses down...
I'm getting from Hispasat @ 30.0w to AMC7 @ 137.0w. I could go further west, but haven't yet. I'm not sure if I would be able to get E* @ 148.0w, not really interested in 148.0w.

From 51.5N 114.1W I can get out to Pas9@ 58W using USALS on my SG2100. Unfortunately there is such a big gap to the next Ku sat (Pas3R @ 43?) with a beam out here that USALS says it is out of range. I tried once with 1.2 but saw nothing and have no idea how much farther it moved.
I'm hoping that someday they replace all those C band only AMC birds in the west with Ku capable ones.
Edit: I just looked at the lifetime of some of them. It won't happen soon.
