Galaxy 17

Ok got lock on to g19 got 109 channels .then start moving west and get intermittent lock on g17 why do I get g17 west of g19 what's up my location is 97.04 w & 24.04N and haven't found any other sats .

If you moved west from Galaxy 19 (97w) are you sure you are getting Galaxy 17? That is at 91w. You may be getting Galaxy 16 which is just to the west at 99w. What channels were you able to scan in?

Ok I'm back and still working on that learning curve ,got home and went to work with the sat finder on loop search I had entered g17 but had a g17 TP entered, after remedy i entered 99.2 ,101 ,103 with corresponding TP and was able to find all 3 satellites, now I get 44 % quality at on 97 and the others only 15% best I could get . My dish is 72 cm with avenger universal lnb is my dish size the problem, if so I tell you my tweaking ability are lot better still learning glad everyone are patient.

I tried today with a different dish a 36 wide by 26 tall a get the same quality numbers 97 w is 44% 99.2w 15 % and 103w is 15 % maybe I need a bigger dish to increase quality.
