looks like a jump by the end of today, some stations still at $2.73 but many are at $2.88 today

Here in south central NC, gas prices have jumped by an average of 20 cents.
I see no news regarding demand pressures or geo-political issues regarding supply lines.
My thinking is the price spike is for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Basic premise is distributors and retailers ramping up profits.

Been in the hills the last 2 days, probably won't go to town till tomorrow... hoping its around $2.85 or so, funny thing was, Walmart was cheaper than Murphy's for once Tuesday.

Went up from $3.05 to $3.29

$2.89 -- $3.09 was going to top my F150 off with real gas, it was $3.09 so... bought the corn polluted variety for 20 cents less at Murphy's.

I saw Murphys had dropped another penny to $2.72 this afternoon when I was coming home.
