With today's announcement of "tank bottom" in the strategic oil reserves in Oklahoma, I expect significant upward movement in fuel prices.

The Salem Costco has been $4.259 and $4.859, respectively, for about a week now.

When I recently travelled to Twain Harte, California, I spent quite a bit of time identifying the Stockton and one of the Sacto Costcos as being the best options for regular gasoline. I wish they each had many more pumps as the Salem Costco does.

Are you sitting down? While picking up the mandatory trash bag ("Green Bag") at the Four Corners convenience store and fuel station on Beaver Island, MI, I peeked at the Regular pump…
