Genie secret handshake to get client working

We fulltime in our RV and we have a Winegard automatic satellite dish on our roof. When we arrive at our new campsite and plug in the power Genie starts up but our satellite dish is still stowed. After the dish is raised sometimes Genie is not working (no picture but have menu) and we have to reset and then it works. We recently noticed that the Genie mini-client in the bedroom doesn't work either. We don't use the bedroom TV watching that much. By trial and error, mostly error, we have gotten it to work a couple of times but was wondering what the procedure should be upon our arrival. We have read here to reset Genie and then the mini-client but the mini-client reboots much faster so should there be a delay other than walking about 30'

Should this be our arrival procedure?
- power to RV
- turn on automatic satellite dish
- when dish ready reset Genie
- then reset mini-client (what kind of delay)
