Genie TV Guide

I am thinking about going with Genie. I know there are several custom guides available, but can I make anyone of then the default guide to appear when I hit the guide button

I think so, mine brings up a custom one, not sure how I did it

All the HRs bring up the last used guide. You can make 2 additional guides giving you a total of 4 guides. Whichever was the one you last used is the one that will come up when you push the 'guide' button.

It will always default back to the way you had it set before OR you can have it start at the "filter the guide" screen. There is a setting menu --> display --> preferences. Make sure "grid guide first" is selected. That is the only way you can change the guide, otherwise it will start at the last favorites list you had. It will always default to the last favorites list you had on. The favorites lists are overrated because there are many button pushes to change them. (If you're coming from Dish, it's something to get used to.)
