Hello all,

Currently have dish network getting ready to go to direct. How many coax leads do I need for direct assuming one genie and three clients. I currently have 2 rg6 coax leads coming from dish now. Do I need one lead for every tuner on the genie? Any other advice before installer comes is welcome as well.

Thanks in advance.

The Genie (HR34) only needs one cable to it.

What will happen is the installer will put a splitter (Directv specialized) somewhere in the line between the LNB and the Genie. The clients get hooked to other outputs of the splitter. If you have a centralized spot where the cables for each room come to he can hook the splitter there

Excellent! Got a room under my stairs where all leads run to. Thanks for the reply Iceberg.
