i have had my dish setup for awhile and I noticed after I got my new x2 m1hd receiver that a lot of the vertical channel on 97 where missing so I went and looked at the dish and noticed my left lnb the cover was separating from the lnb
It is the one to the left and higher than the right .
I am in oregon is the left one for 97 or 101

When using multiple satellites they are backwards than they are in the sky.

so when standing behind the dish, 97 should be on the right and 101 on the left

NOw if you are in front of the dish then its opposite

Here is a pic of a 3 LNB setup I had. Since I cant be behind the dish (I would have fallen off the deck) ;)
89 on the left
93 in the middle
97 on the right

Well I went up to the splitter and found out the left one was 97 and the right one 101 when facing towards the dish both lnb's covers have failed I had a fealing 101 had failed last year but there really is no programming on 101.
I ordered a new lnb will be here wed. I just removed the cover its not suppose to rain in our area till next weekend.
When I go out of town I will unplug it so I don't short out my receiver

You can also put a 'baggie' over them in the mean time. Just 'in case'.
I've got cut up and 'heat formed' soda bottles protecting a couple of mine.
