I'm a SD customer with 2 SD tivos, what would be a good deal from DTV for me to upgrade to 2 HD tivos? I am assuming I am grandfathered on the tivo fee.
I am not under contract nor have received any goodies from direct in the last five years.

I don't know how the lifetime TIVO works. Is it on the account or the TIVO itself? I don't recall anyone trying to get a deal on the Directv TIVOs, so I'd say call and ask what they can do for you. You'd probably get the best deal by talking to retention. When you call, tell the automated voice "cancel" and you will be directed to them.

TiVo lifetime service is spoken to in the Customer Agreement:

If you paid a "lifetime service fee," you will not be charged a fee for your DIRECTV DVR Service as long as you maintain television programming service from DIRECTV on the same account.
