Nice find, congrats!

As for the LNB, well, it seems to be a typical Feed/LNB assembly. Usable with an ASC1 or with an old receiver. The noise figure of 50K is a bit high, so probably not worth the effort of making this work. Best to replace the feed assembly with a modern LNBF - better performance and a lot easier to use with current receivers.

Wow, great find!

Always enjoy seeing someone rescue a dish and put it back to good use. More guys should do this!
Yes, please post more pics and a journal of how it goes as you put it back up.

Congrats! Great find!

Personally, I prefer a feedhorn with servo. Allows each satellite and polarity skew to be optimized.

The 50 degree LNB is pretty old technology. Replace with a new lower temp/ higher stability LNB and you will have a great performer!

That’s a real beauty you got there. I wish I could put up a BUD, but everything seems to be working against me.

looks like it's a 20 K noise temperature. That's almost on par with the current stuff. The stability of the local oscillator might still be a question though. But I have one that looks almost identical to yours (just a bit noisier) and it's been good. I use it for circular C band.

so can anyone tell me what good this is??????????? is this used for high ku band aka dish

looks good to me! Good stability, decent noise figure, standard frequency range suitable for most FTA Ku satellites (not suitable for 34.5W, 15W, 78W and some of the beams at 117W)
