WCTI 12 ABC HD

WNCT DT 2 THE CWsd

We already had WNCTDT2 The CW sd feed in the SD local package, not sure why we now have 2 SD CW feeds, 1 is mpeg2 and the other is mpeg 4.

Aren't you guys a 72.5 market? (2nd dish f/locals)
That's why you have 2 of them - the old one is the 72.5 feed, the new one is MPEG4 Ka. Since 72.5 is going bye bye, eventually everyone in your market will need a Slimline dish & all MPEG4 receivers to get locals. D* is doing this in ALL 72.5 markets that are up in HD - they also duplicate ALL the remaining SD locals in MPEG4, to be ready for this transition.

Thats what I was thinking also, the UNC/PBS channel comes off 101 from the WUNC feed from Raleigh.
Ive noticed all slim line dishes installed lately, and Ive been in alot of homes with a cheap looking hd recievers installed to standard def tv's.

Yep, in all these markets such as your's & mine, if a sub needs a NON-DVR receiver, they ALWAYS get an H2x box, regardless if they actually have HD service or not. If the account does NOT have HD access, then the HD channels are disabled on these same boxes. D* did NOT make an MPEG4 SD only non-DVR box, so that's why they have to use these.

If OTOH a sub wants an SD DVR, then they get an R22, which is MPEG4, but SD only.
