I am looking for a receiver that has a cable card tuner and can output an HD signal to one or multiple TV's. I know that the TiVo receivers can do this, but I don't want to pay the $12.99 monthly fee and I can do without guide or DVR service. The only thing I need is a tuner to get the signal and output it to my TV's. Does such a device exist without any monthly fee or is TiVo my only option?

There is the Moxi and there is the option of building your own Windows Media Center PC with a ATI Cable card tune or a Ceton mutisteam cablecard tuner

Either option will start at $900

finally getting ION-HD in NYC area
