I have a 2 H24-700 is it possable to get higher then 480I output to remote TV's through the use of an Rf modulator? I have a TV that automatically detects the input and I have a RF modulator from Radio shack (yah I know) and it one sends the signal out Via the coax at 480I is it due to the output from the receiver or is it the Modulator? If ther any way to at least get 720P to another room Voia coax? If so what do I need?

Thanks in advance as always

By coax, no. The only hd outputs are hdmi and component. They are both live, though. You could use one of them for the remote tv.

You can convert the HDMI signal to run over coax. It isn't cheap though....I haven't seen many adapters for less than $300.

HDMI to Coax to HDMI Adapter SetSend a 720p or 1080p HDMI video & audio signal over your existing house coax wiring & convert back to HDMIIncludes a SEND & RECEIVE unit (shown) & IR control signal pass through - HDMI OVER COAX

You could also just add another set-top box
At that price, I'd add another receiver for $99 and have $$$ left over for the monthly additional/lease receiver fee.

If the distance will be less than 50 cable feet away, there are special wall plates that use a pair of Cat5/Cat6 cables to feed HDMI from room to room, and they're only $20 (plus the cat5/6). I can't vouch for their quality, but it has good reviews and it's something that I've been considering myself to feed a guest room TV so I don't have to pay the mirror fee on another receiver. They have RJ45 jacks on them (not punchdown), so you either have to use pre-assembled cables or know how to install ends yourself.

They also have a version with an IR extender for $30, but no pics or other details on it. Looks like its brand new.

Another option would be to pick up a 500' spool of RG6 for $40 and pull 5 runs for component video between the rooms. You can get RCA compression ends, and even get wallplates with the color coded jacks.
