HD receiver non HD dish?

First off.......I used the search function

Second......I am a noob

My question:

I want to take my HD receiver in my motor home and I have a non HD dish. I don't need HD on the road and don't want to buy a second dish for traveling. Can I make this combo work?

Yup.
What recvr and dish are you using ?

This should not be a problem, you'll be able to get the 101 Sat at the very least.
Thats where the CORE programming is .... the majority of the HD is on the 99 and 103.

Depending on your set up, you might want to look into a Tripod for the dish.

I think I would, that way the recvr detects the dish type.
