I would like to re-peak my DirecTV HD dish. I want to use my HD receiver to connect to my computer monitor, so I can take them botth out to the dish.....as I have no satellite peaking meter. I believe the monitor has a vga input. Can I get a vga to hdmi converter to achieve this? I realize there will be no audio but that is not necessary. I thought this would be the most portable way to actually see what was going on while peaking this dish....with out taking a 37" HDTV outside!! Any advice is appreciated! I hope I have posted this to the right forum. Thanks!!

I have inspected this converter......the description says it converts VGA to HDMI....I believe I need a converter that converts HDMI (from DirecTV recvr) to VGA (computer monitor)? Am I correct here?

Yes, you are correct. I posted the wrong one. Sorry for any confusion.
