If I don't have a HD TV right now can I still use a HD receiver like a HR23?

But DO be aware that none of D*'s HD receivers has an RF output, so if you are using it on an old TV with NO external A/V inputs, you'll need some sort of external modulator to work with your TV. (just like using a DVD player w/no RF out) Or, another solution is to run it thru an old VCR line inputs & use it's modulator...
