HD Signal Slitting

I have a satellite HD service in Malaysia called Astro Beyond. The installer is telling me that it is not possible to split and HD signal and as a result I will need one dish for each receiver. This sounds incorrect. Can someone tell me if it is possible to split an HD signal and how to do it?

Why can't I use an normal HD splitter like what is used for Directv or Dish?

It all depends on what Astro Beyond does.

You CANNOT split a Directv signal till it gets to the recvr, unless it's a new SWM set up, then it needs special equipment that makes it work.

You CAN use a MultiSwitch with Directv to send signal to various other recvrs, but it's not considered a "Spitter".
