Will VOOM continue to allow us to use component if we do not have HDCP-DVI sets ? If so, how long ?
Someone correct me if I am wrong....component is not going to be affected by this because it is not an all digital source.
Sounds like to me that there might be new ch's on the way that are requiring VOOM to do this right now. Maybe it is HD on demand , but it could also be INHD or even HDNET. Who knows really....the one thing we are certain of is VOOM had to do this.

Yes, they will. Component is not dowrez now. Given that this will affect the majority of people without DVI, I do not see V* getting rid of 1080i/720p through component. Remember that E* or D* will go this way also. So this is not only V*.

As one of the poor bastages whose TV doesn't support DVI, I sure hope they keep 1080i on those component outputs for good :)
