I have a SHARP LC46D64U flat screen and a ViP 622 Firmware version L629 and for the past many months when I shift to watch a PPV movie I get the following message,

"THE RECEIVER HAS DETECTED THAT THE HD TV OR THE DIGITAL CONNECTION TO THE TV DOES NOT SUPPORT HDCP. BECAUSE THIS EVENT FOLLOWS HDCP THIS EVENT IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ORDER ON THIS TV."

Would some please advise how I can resolve this issue?

Thanks

I think I would do as HiFi suggested. You could also check the Sharp website and see if there is a firmware update for your TV. That may help.

I have had this problem before, but never with a direct HDMI connection. It was with one I had extended 80 feet with 2 Cat 6 cables and some BALUNs.

It's a long shot, but try a different HDMI port on your TV set.

Definitely contact Sharp's technical support and get the latest firmware update.

I have Vip622 connected via HDMI to a Pioneer PDP-5050. I had the same issue regarding HDCP. I connected the HDMI cable to the second HDMI port and it worked. Very odd.
