HDD-200 SD to TV

I've been trying to use my HDD-200 for SD video. When I try to use the wide/zoom feature of my TV, the picture is displayed as I want it but after a random amount of time it goes back to a "normal" view. I was wondering what is causing this. I'd do a composite video run but the TV doesn't have enuff composite video ports for all the multimedia stuff that I have. I've tried playing with the resolution switch on the back of the HDD-200 but can't get the display that I consistently want.

Why? I would never use that thing for my SD, it's the worse thing to do, makes the SD look like crap. For best pic use the S video from the 4dtv direct to the display and use the HDD 200 for HD only.

I don't have any S-video ports available either. I guess I'll have to look for another solution. I just bought the TV within the last year so I'm not planning on replacing it anytime soon even though I wouldn't mind getting one of those new LED TV's.

Use composite from the 4dtv direct to the tv, and use the HDD 200 for HD only through component.

I use a HDD201 with component out to my plasma, it looks good.
On the front of the HDD box is a button for power and one for closed caption. Push both those in at the same time and hold them and a box will appear on your screen with some display selections.

Greg Mueller I hope your only using it for HD. Never ever pass the SD through the crappy HDD 200, it kills the image it is one of the poorest upconveters in history, For SD your Plaza should have a s video input, you should do a direct connect from the 4d to the tv for the best SD.

I run my 922 with S video to my Aquos 1080p display. I let the tv do the up converting and scaling. From what I hear the HDD 200 is a poor line doubler. (I don't own one) If it looks better that what your tv can do scaling to it's native resolution you have a very poor UC/S in your tv.

I am using it in 480 mode and use it for the component outputs

I tried running my dsr920 Thur the HDD 200 via S-Video then out component output seems to always pick up noise.

So this weekend I tried it again but instead of using component out I used the RGB.

I could not believe how much better it looked then s video hooked right up to the tv.

On 480p it was 640*480 60 hertz.

Anyone have experience with s-video runs of about 100 feet? I was looking at some info on the web about this and it appears that the maximum s-video run is 150 feet but with an s-video/ethernet balun you could go 1000 feet. I'm trying to determine which method has the best performance and least noise for a 100 foot cable run (from 4DTV DSR922 to TV).
