Help understanding Lyngsat

On 101 degrees W there is a listing for Miami mux on DVB S2. Lyngsta says it is SD/encrypted. Does this mean it is available for S2 reception?

No it does not, just cause it says S2 does not necessarily mean HD. Lyngsat can be confusing sometimes.

Remember Lyngsat is not precisely up to date. HD channels are highlighted in a different color.

DVBS2 is a transmission standard...that is all. All muxes can have a mixture of standard definition and high definition as well as having both encrypted and clear channels. So yes, if you have a receiver capable of handing the S2 standard your receiver will correctly present the channels that are in the mux and will probably have the $ symbol in front of the channel name to indicate that the channels are encrypted.

"encrypted" is just that also. FTA is not for that.

i've notice that satsignature has programming lists... not on all satellites but it really current and automated. it looks like it was updated yesterday nov 24th, 2015
