I have just installed a new reciever and have it up and running and can recieve the channels on G19 11929 V DVB-S.
I have a technomate TM-6800HD. I can get all the channels but I can NOT get the one I wont. I called the channel and talked to the guy and he said it is up and running. They are going to encrypt it but have not yet. It is in the list on 97*.
My reciever is MPEG 4 and I think all the right settings. I dont even show it anywhere. Can someone try and get the channel and let me know. I am clawing the walls for 2 weeks trying to figure this out! Is there something I dont know about MPEG-4? PLEASEEEEEEEEE HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!:D

sorry I didnt even put the channel down. A stated it is FTV. Why cant I see that if I am getting the other channels? If the signal is on the low side would that couse it to not recieve all the channels? This has to be something I am just overlooking.

If you guys see it wahy cant I? I show no FTV I have even entered it manually with the PID and it still doesnt show. If my signal is on the low side would that couae the reciever to not "pick up" all the channels? This has to be something I am just overlooking.......If it is the signals than I can readjust tommorrow and try to rescan.

yes it is MPEG 4 capable that is why I am so confused why it is not working. Do you think its the dish or signal?

technomate.com is the site for the reciever. I have the TM-6800HD. Sorry to sound crazy but I jsut cant figure it out.

The Technomate is very similar to the Diamond 9000 HD, I can check when I get home, or if anyone else has a Diamond and can check.
The Diamond can run the Firmware of the original Technomate 6800 and 6900, but it does crash on MPEG4 channels.
It just may not be compatible.

Diamond 9000HD does indeed receive and display FTV MPEG4 on 97W. :)

Have you tried entering the Freq/SR of the transponder into your transponder list, then do a transponder scan, assuming that your receiver has that option?
The problem with entering PIDs manually is that most receivers don't have the capability of specifying MPEG4 video when entering PIDs manually.

It may be that the type of scan you are doing is a satellite scan, where it just scans through a list of transponders that are stored on your receiver, and if this transponder isn't listed, then you won't find it. However if you manually add the transponder, then it will scan in the channel properly.

yes here are the channels I recieve from that tp ( 11929V )
samanyolu TV
EBRU TV
ASC Flix
Globcast
TV Polonia
TVP Info
Tele 5
ASC Extra
AZ TV
AJ Kass

Thats all I recieve from that one. I get some from other TP but this is the only one Im really looking at becuase FTV is on it. Should there be more than that?

When I said I called the guy, it was the "guy" at ftv that sets up the satellites for clients of FTV. He was trying to figure out the problem also but I havent heard back from him in the past few days.

I did put the TP in manually and I still get the same channels on it. On the page where I can enter the PID manually there is no area to enter the MPEG 4 or anything.

Just out of curiosity, is there an NTSC Video option on the 6800?
Also, which 6800 is being used, the Original or the newer "Super" model?
