Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no channel coolsat 5000 platinum

ok i just bought the coolsat 5000 platinum when i went 2 hook it up it said no channels and i dont know what 2 do. it came with software 2 download channels butt it does not work satcoDX i think the name is . is there ne thing else that i can download so i can use im stuck please help.
