Now Tim, being from Carlsbad, its not all about Albuquerque... We had C-Hill where KAVE broadcasted in the early years... (bought out by what is now KVIA El Paso then KOAT)

Interesting. Albuquerque is not unique in the west though. Denver uses Lookout Mountain, which is also the site of Buffalo Bill's grave, outstanding views and a lot of expensive homes.

Only reason I post is that Denver used the transition to digital TV as an excuse to cut the number of towers by 1/2. There is a lot more sharing, and the end result is more pleasing than the mess the article shows in Albuquerque.
