Hopper 3 Self-Activation

You can self install a hopper 3 but it may require you that when you do have wired up correctly that you may have to call Dish network to have the hopper 3 activated.

Yes. I did. However, be absolutely sure you know what you are doing because the reps are not going to want to explain anything to you.

Pretty sure you are the exception not the rule.

I lived in a fifth wheel for 14 years and had several dish receivers installed by a tech on a tripod allover the USA with never a problem. The last one was a hopper 3

After moving every 2 weeks I am fairly good at connecting and setting up a dish system. This time I am not using a tech and am a little fuzzy on activation of a new hopper 3.
