I keep getting recordings on my HWS in two or even three parts. Is this caused by the HWS rebooting. It happens once or twice a week. Is my dard drive going?

Have you noticed any error messages on the screen? Have there been any weather issues in your area? Please try to reset the HWS and once live TV comes back, try to press the DVR button and try to watch something to see if anything comes up about Hard Drive error.

If so please PM me w/ the phone and 4 digit PIN numbers.

Thanks.

Assuming you know you are not losing power this much and you have your hopper plugged into a surge protector try bypassing the surge device for a while and see if your hopper starts acting bettet. Dish tech made this suggestion and it worked my surge protector had gone bad. However I thought dish was crazy for thinking this was the problem. But they were right.
