Hopper USB OTA Tuner Question

If you keep dangling your dongle it might fall off or get weak at the stem.
I intend to support it in some fashion (like velcro as charlesrshell previously suggested), but I don't intend to incorporate it into the shelving on my media center. I prefer the clean look so all cables are located behind it.

The usb connector standard is not really designed to take much stress. So if you have something plugged into such a connector any load on that connector should be supported. Otherwise the connector could become deformed and or damage the connection to the main board may occur.

Agree the "no dangle" is just about stress at the connectors. Remember this is just a standard USB device, you can use a longer USB cable to put it wherever you need to. It doesn't need to be within any certain distance of the receiver.
