These are the videos that we show by DISH on the Big Screen in their booth at CES.

Some of them are quite humorous. Check them out and let us know what you think. :) (And yes I know there are things that the Genie does better then the Hopper... if DIRECTV had a their own Genie -vs- Hopper videos, I would be happy to post them as well!)

Hopper -vs- Genie - PrimeTime Anytime.

Hopper -vs- Genie - Speed (I like this one the best! Watch near the end.)

Hopper -vs- Genie - Side by Side

No, that was before the new Genie was announced... (well actually it wasn't actually actually officially announced yet by DIRECTV.) this is based on the HR-34

Gotta love marketspeak. I'd rather see comparison videos of actual usage.

I'm sure CNET will do it. ;)

I currently have two hoppers, so it has never really occurred to me to see how many feeds one can run at any one time, but I do know that the four major networks are now active even outside of prime time hours. So I guess it could do those four and two other different national cable channels at any one time. An additional one if you used the OTA module as well.

Whatever the case may be, as I said, not really an issue for me, as with two hoppers, there is no way I am running out of tuners based on my usage anyway.

During primetime ... if you have PTAT going ... you have the potential of 6 programs being recorded (one tuner recording CBS, FOX, ABC, NBC, and two more recording others, 7 if you have the OTA module ... all from one Hopper.

Well I don't have OTA and I bet neither do 90% of household in the USA
So how about recording Nick, History, HBO,and Disney all at the same time with 1 hopper and 3 joeys?
How about Just watching them live?

I wouldn't have to ask these questions if the 3 Bogus video would have accually showed something other then a man made cartoon skit.
Which seem to be enough for Dish crowd to bite.:coffee
