Rain fade is one of the main reasons I installed a good UHF antenna to receive my local HD channels. Whenever rain fade happens on a network station, I can switch over to the OTA version and I haven't had a problem yet in receiving them.

If you are having rain fade. Then the signal must be below 70% for SD and for HD is must below 60% signal, which would cause the issue. The HD Sats are 99 and 103 satellite positions. You maybe will see on the listings for 103 and 99 where "S" or "C" will show. But you can check the signal for those HD sats to check signal to see what it is when the rain is occuring. Tech support will say if its moderate to heavy rain, then its not in there control, but if light rain and your having issue possibly dish alignment.
