Thanks. I set the elev and tilt via the hr20, then turned the dish slowly into the right AZ.

Once I hit those numbers I tightened it all up and left it.

It can't be that easy! You must have done something wrong. :D

It took me longer to put the darn thing together.

I was surprised, easier than setting up a Dish 1000.2 on 110/119 and a D500 on 129 for sure.

here's some pics of the old and new

Here is what I'm getting in the Chicago area:
99 (b) 74 94 74 96 80 96
103 (a) 96 0 96 0 96 0 0
Used an Acutrac 22 pro that I borrowed for alignment.

Be careful! If you didn't dither the signal correctly, you might be missing out on the new sats once they're operational. KA bands are extremely narrow and are easy to miss.

Should I be seeing anything higher on the new positions yet?

103(b) is all zeros

103(a) is 52 29 73 14 47 33 0

99(b) is 59 0 68 0 73 0

My number currently are
99(b) 0, 45, 0, 55, 0, 67.
103(a) 63, 0, 69, 80, 67, 80.

These were set up by D* earlier in the year, I am sure the numbers vary by the area of the country you are in.
I may ask the tech when he comes out, what kind of numbers they are getting in the area and see if these are accurate .

99B 76, 0, 75, 0, 0, 0
103(a+b) all 0 or n/a
slimline reading above, have at-9 as well ill have to check it one of these days

Ah. Seems like everyone has a little different. I wont worry about it until they actually fire the sat up. I dont know if we can really go by what we are seeing now.

Since there are no spot beams in your area yet, I think those numbers are good. You won't really know until you have local hd. You should have at least one transponder in the 90's then.

I have no signal on 99b on any transponders, is this a ok I live in Denver CO.
I just switch to the new slimline Dish and HR20 last week.

101 95
110 92
119 94
99b 0
103a 91
103b 0

Since Denver is on 103 for locals, 99 doesn't carry anything for you, yet.

Elway,
I think it all depends on what part of the country you live in.

Ah. The guy above made me a little nervous talking about dithering, then I saw a guy with high numbers on those other sats. Was not sure what I should be seeing.

I guess if they turn on the new channels and I dont get them, Ill know I need to adjust my slimline
