How does Directv 2 year equipment upgrade work

Anyone know how this 2 year upgrade program work when you have the base level (now $7.99) protection plan? I currently have 1 HR24-200 and 2 H24-200's. Interested in finding out what add'l $$ is for upgrading to the Genie system

I dont think the PP means anything when it comes to upgrade time other than they might wave the upgrade install fee.
As to how much it will cost to upgrade call and speak to retentions.....they can let ya know

They will upgrade you every two years, but that doesn't mean you get a new unit. All of the HR series dvrs are considered equal.

if not call in ask rententions
i suggest replacing 1 h24 with the genie and leaving everything else as is

Thanks - why do you suggest I replace an H24, rather then the HR-24? What is the Genie Go do?

h24 is non dvr
hr24 is a dvr

genie integrates with either finer
why lose a tuner when you dont have to
oh and they have the smae monthly fee
