I have damaged several STB when doing a lot of hard reboots

Pansat 9200 hard reboot when reconectng a hard drive

Sonicview 8000 hard reboot bc of Channel CHange Error

and dreambox bc unplugging each night

I got charged about 30 buck of fixing them might be and easy fix capacitor transistor change

so how many mississippis is technically safe for a hard reboot

hard reboot as in turning off with the switch on the back?

damn I just flip switch, do what needs to be done then flip it back on. The azbox I have sometimes will get stuck on "booting" so a flip off then on right away fixes that

Thanks but a tech guy told me that doing it to fast and to often damages the power supply
