Could you give a source for this “information”? Who would they sell this information too, how much would they pay, and why?

Didn't read your agreement with Dish, did you ? It states in there they can collect anonymous data.

As for who buys this data and why, it's the same as every retail store that wants you to use their "shopping" card. You think the grocery store doesn't sell the data they collect ? Same with banner ads on websites you visit. Never noticed that the ads are generally the type of stuff you might be interested in ?

As for the # of times the receiver dials out (normally), people with VOIP phone setups at home have reported the number as they can track all incoming and outgoing calls (vs standard landline setups).

Well TonyT, I haven't seen but one connection since the change. The wife hasn't ask me "WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PHONE" in this period also. I would assume it is fixed. Thanks again!!!
